In 2015 the eagerly anticipated Microsoft Surface made its exclusive debut, allowing a select group of 13 resellers permission to sell the new product within the UK. Microsoft approached Agency Ingram Micro with the challenge of making adaptable marketing materials which could be used by this specific group to drive sales. In response agency produced an email template, an animated 2 minute video and a hosted online e-book brochure, all of which were customisable, allowing resellers to rebrand and utilise Microsoft approved marketing assets to encourage growth within their own customer bases.
As a result of this campaign and the huge success of the Surface, Microsoft has branched out to allow a further 50 resellers the chance to sell the new product offering. Even further expansion has been proposed to allow for a total of 113 resellers nationwide all of whom will adopt the same assets.
